Wine Marlborough Ltd is the regional wine organisation representing Marlborough, New Zealand’s premier wine-growing region. Established in 1992 and wholly owned by the Marlborough Winegrowers Association, Wine Marlborough represents the interests of Marlborough’s grape growers and wine companies, whose collective production accounts for approximately 80% of New Zealand’s wine.

Our purpose is to reinforce Marlborough’s position as a leading global wine region. We work to promote, protect and advance the reputation of Marlborough and support the long-term success, sustainability and resilience of the region’s wine industry.

Wine Marlborough is governed by industry-elected representatives from Marlborough’s wine companies and grape-growing community, ensuring the organisation is led by the people who make up the industry.

Marlborough is at the heart of New Zealand’s wine industry, producing approximately 84% of the country’s wine and more than 90% of its Sauvignon Blanc. The region is internationally recognised for wines of exceptional quality and distinctive character, and has played a defining role in establishing New Zealand as a respected wine-producing nation on the world stage.

The wine industry is a cornerstone of the Marlborough economy, contributing more than 20% of regional GDP and supporting one in five local jobs. New Zealand wine is exported to more than 100 countries, with close to 90% of production sold internationally.
